Pitches
for a Television Pilot
"Great idea. But does it have legs?" -- Television Executive.
Currently sitting with an Executive Producer at NBC/Universal is a one-hour pilot, Trim. Along with the script is The Show Bible. This pitch document describes the show's overriding conflict, sketches out the recurring characters, and presents the plots for the next five episodes. Network Execs use this document to gauge:
- whether the show has any audience appeal
- what the potential production costs are
- if there is any cross-promotional interest from advertisers
- and most important, could this project attract any name talent to get this project "picked-up"
