Fortunately sarcasm, irreverence and a sense of humor are not lacking in the marketing departments of one regional Baby Bell company. In fact, they helped create the perfect embodiment of their product.

When BellSouth was ready to start selling Fast Access DSL, they needed someone the Early Adopter could identify with. Someone to lead them into the confusing yet rewarding world of high-speed internet access. The pitchman character I created was popular and trustworthy and as a result, he remained an important piece of their TV advertising campaign.
